Clergy and Church Tax Seminars
Clergy Taxes: An Overview 2026
Hosted by Discipleship Ministries
Date: Monday, February 9, 2026
Time: 11:00 am CST
Presenters: Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane and Janet Jamieson
For a decade, Discipleship Ministries has offered a February webinar to help clergy get a clearer picture of their taxes. The key ingredient in that offering was Don Joiner, a retired staff member of the agency, as well as a Certified Financial Planner and a Clergy Tax preparer. Don’s sudden death in October 2024 came as a shock to all of us, but we decided to continue the information session as best as we could without Don’s expertise. Rev. Dr. Ken Sloane, Director of Stewardship & Generosity, will be joined by Janet Jamieson, CPA, clergy spouse, and recently retired CFO of Discipleship Ministries. Together, they will give an overview of what you might expect as you prepare your 2025 Federal Tax Return. We will also help you see the way to savings that might bring a more secure and satisfying retirement!
