Board of Directors

The Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of 20 - 30 members. Directors must be a part of a United Methodist church or another church from a Wesleyan tradition from within the bounds of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church.At least half of the Board must be laity, though members may be either clergy or laity. Directors serve four-year terms and may serve up to two consecutive terms before rotating off the Board for at least one year. The Board elects a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer annually. Each Director also serves on one of the Board’s committees.

Committees

Finance and Investment - Provides and oversees the investment strategies for the Foundation’s portfolio. Works with our financial consultants to ensure we are following socially responsible investment practices as set byThe Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church.

Grants - Reviews and awards grant requests submitted by churches and agencies for funding of ministries. Promotes funding for new and creative ministry ideas.

Education and Development - Provides guidance and development of materials and training programs around stewardship. Assists foundation staff with training programs and seminars throughout the year.

Personnel - Oversees the policies and job descriptions of Foundation staff. Works with staff to fill vacancies. Meets with staff to discuss performance.
