After the completion of the Pre-Campaign Study (PCS), plans are made to begin the INTENSIVE PHASE OF THE FAITH FUNDS CAMPAIGN. With the Foundation staff, the pastor and the church CALENDAR, a rough time line for the campaign is established. The Pastor is sent detailed JOB DESCRIPTIONS of the 6-8 committee chairs that need to be called into service, beginning with the General Chair(s). After the committee members are in place, the meetings begin! Each committee chair is given a detailed MANUAL OF INSTRUCTION which has a step by step process to conduct the campaign. Letters, publicity ideas, and samples of materials are also included in the Manual. About six weekly meetings are held to train committee members, plan the campaign events, and motivate and support the committees.
The campaign begins with a KEY EVENT which is planned by the Key Event/Calling committee. This event which includes worship, information about the project and campaign, fellowship and food! People that attend the Key Event are given a packet of information and other goodies. People are called to invite them to the Key Event and the Commitment Worship Service.
People may be invited to special small group meetings for more information and encouragement. One of these events may be the LEADERSHIP/ADVANCE GIFT gathering, led by the Foundation and the committee. Rev. Jean Ehnert Nicholas or Rev. Bill Helwig from the WUMF will preach on a Sunday between the Key Event and the Commitment Sunday.
The SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS COMMITTEE seeks to keep the campaign focused on the mission and ministry of the project and aims to keep the committees and the congregation grounded in scripture throughout the campaign. The AUDITOR for the committee records pledges and gifts to the campaign.
People are informed about the project and campaign through many different means as created by the COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE. The GENERAL CHAIR(s) oversees the work of and gives guidance to all of the committees.
